     My name is John E.Feigh and I have been the Instrumental Music Instructor for grades 5-12 in the Moshannon Valley School District since November of 1987. I teach 5th grade Band, 6th Grade Band, 7th and 8th Grade Band, Senior High Band (Grades 9-12), Marching Band and Jazz Band.  I also have students participate in PMEA Senior High Festivals and Clearfield County Junior High and  Senior High Band Festivals. Our Marching Band is active in the summer months as a Parade Competition Band and in the Fall at Football Games and local Marching Band Shows. 

     I have been married to the former Mary Jane Crook since October 15,1977 and reside in Coalport, Pa with my wife. We are the parents of two sons, Matthew Thomas Feigh (Age 28) and Jason Robert Feigh (Age 23).

      I am a 1972 Graduate of Glendale High School in Flinton, Penna.,  and a 1976 Graduate of Penn State University with a BS Degree in Music Education.

     My sons have some changes coming in their lives. Matthew started working with AMED of Altoona last spring as an EMT; he was married on February 14, 2004, to Kathy Oswald of Altoona. They are now the parents of two girls (Emma and Sophia). Kathy also has a 10 year old son from a previous marriage (Conner Livingston) of Stow, Ohio.

      Jason, is a 2003 graduate of Glendale High School and a 2007graduate of  Gannon University in Erie, Pa. with a BS Degree in History/Philosophy, along with his ultimate goal of studying for the Catholic Priesthood for the Diocese of Erie. He is currently in his second year of Major Theology at St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland.

2005 FALL MARCHING BAND SEASON

     Rehearsals started on Monday, August 11, with 55 Instrumentalists,8 Color Guard, 5 Rifles, 8 Silk Squad Members, 8 Majorettes and 2 Drum Majors. Preparations were made for the Marching Band Participation at all of the Moshannon Valley Varsity Football Games, the  "Bud" George Picnic and the Annual Clearfield County Marching Band Show. 

     Our Show for 2005 is "The Music of the 70's and 80's" and featured some of the most popular music of these two decades. We opened our show with John Cougar Mellancamp's "R-O-C-K In the USA"  and then featured our Band Front and Majorette Captain Kayla Kovall (an outstanding dancer/choreographer) in ABBA's  "Dancing Queen"  and closed with Madonna's version of "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina"  from the Andrew Lloyd Weber hit Broadway Show "Evita".

 

 

 

 Christmas Concerts

     This year, the Christmas Concerts will be presented on Wednesday, December 17 (Senior High) and Thursday, December 18(Junior High) in the JSHS Auditorium. The date of the Sixth Grade Band and Chorus Concert will be Tuesday, December 16.

     The Tri-M Music Honor Society will again be collecting non-perishable food items to benefit the Houtzdale Area Food Bank. Through the generosity of the the fine people of our communities, we know that we will be  able to help brighten the holidays of many families in our area.

     Many thanks to our Board of Education, Administration,  Faculty and Support Staffs for making these Concerts possible.

 

 

 

 

Spring Concert Dates

            The dates of our Spring Concerts will be announced in the near future.

            

            Each Concert will feature the music of the Concert Band, Concert Choir and various soloists.

 

  

           The Senior High Concert will also feature the music of the Jazz Band and Select Choir.
