582 Computer Programming II----1 Credit

Computer Programming II is a yearlong course designed as an elective for seniors. The course uses JavaScript and continues with Visual C++. The first marking period continues with JavaScript from Computer Programming I and covers Windows and Frames, Forms, Database Connectivity, Cookies and Security The last three marking periods will focus on Visual C++ and cover how to build an application, Types of Data, Variables, Structures, Operators, Functions, Classes, Arrays, Streams and Files, and Data Structures. Students will be required to develop and code at least four programs of their own design. Students taking this course must have pass Intro to Computer Applications and Computer Programming I. Both independent and group activities are used as learning environments. First and Second Semester Projects are worth 60% of the second and fourth marking period grades.
