The Big Eye project is one of my favorite projects. Students are required to take original pictures with a digital SLR camera, use layers and knockouts to make a composite image. What you are actually seeing is a close up of the student’s eye, a picture of either a clock or lock, a picture of some sort of texture and a picture of some sort of globe shaped object.
