Spanish III
Syllabus
Please note that I do not use a textbook for this course. This course will focus on acquiring a larger vocabulary and more complex verbs in the language.
Students will read a longer short story in Spanish, LA Roma Seca, and complete an essay exam. The oral component will include "Anuncios", student directed auctions and "Read Aloud".
Please be aware that a notebool and a dictionary are necessities for this course. The teacher will provide all necessary vocabulary, verbs and grammar rules to the students in the form of lectures and notes.
Grading
The course is graded on a total point system. All tests, projects and homework will be graded based on total points earned. Each nine-weeks will contain one project and one major test.
These will be in addition to homework assignments and quizzes. A typical nine-weeks will generally have between 800 and 1200 points. The speaking component will begin the first nine-weeks.
The "Anuncios" can be given at the beginning of class and are worth 150 points per grading period.
