Greetings from Moshannon Valley School District

Dear Students, Parents, Employees and Friends of Moshannon Valley,

Moshannon Valley welcomes 2019, our faculty and staff are working hard to prepare our students academically.  Release of our state and national report card data has arrived, and there is much to be encouraged about as nearly every grade level and subject saw positive growth.  Preparations for the District Comprehensive Planning Committee are underway, and our committee comprised of parents, students, staff, and community members will meet in late January to focus on our academic goals.  Contact the District Office if you are interested in participating.

Our library rennovation, the "Collaboration Center," is well underway, with construction to begin in May 2019 and it will be open for the 2019-2020 school year.  It is a wonderful time to be excited about what the future holds for our students, staff, and families.  Know that as a District, we will continue to value students' ability self-regulate for their academic pursuits and success.  Moshannon Valley will be asking student to challenge themselves academically, asking administration and staff to challenge themselves professionally, and looking for the entire community to ge excited for the future of Moshannon Valley.

To those not familiar with the school district, the Moshannon Valley School Board Members and I would like to welcome you!  We believe educating our children is the most important work done in our society.  Our commitment to the community is to promote every educational opportunity for our students while providing a safe and nurturing environment for all.  We are proud of our district and the collaborative efforts made in and out of the classroom that impact our students.  Our students and staff take pride in their school, their community, and in each other, because we believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of our students and staff.
