• The Moshannon Valley Community connects with successful alumni to arrange speaking events with students at Moshannon Valley.  Speakers discuss their memories of high school, their post-secondary education, current profession and life lessons.  The Alumni Speaker Series encourages alum to share their journey from the halls of Moshannon Valley Jr.-Sr. High School to the career and life they live.  We want the student of today to know the student from the past, who sat in the same chairs they sit in today, who walked the same hallways the student of today walks, can become successful in various careers, locally or away.

Our speakers are not paid to come to school to converse with Mo Valley students.  They take time from work and some travel great distances, in order to come home. They encourage Mo Valley students to try their best and not be afraid to step outside of the box to experience new things.  The Alum show our students you can walk through the doors on graduation day, from a small, rural Pennsylvania school, and into a world, they create via their dreams and goals.  They teach, by experience, that anyone can be successful, as long as they set fear aside, work hard and persevere.
