Our students recently participated in a competition held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church through the IU, and they did an amazing job representing Mo Valley! ✨
We were proud to take 8 elementary students and 4 high school students, and every single one of them performed incredibly well—way to go, Knights & Damsels! 👏

Carson Luce & Pyper Bakaysa earned 🥈 2nd Place medals, advancing all the way to the championship round and finishing in a tie—what an accomplishment! 💪

Students in Mrs. Buell’s Career Class had the opportunity to hear from guest speaker Dallas Kephart, who shared his unique career journey and experiences.
From his background in the coal industry to his work as a lawyer, Dallas explained how those experiences helped shape his decision to run for District Representative. 🏛️
He gave students an inside look at what it’s like to work in the state capitol and the important role he plays in serving his community.

🎬✨ LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION AT MO VALLEY… AFTER HOURS! ✨🎬
When spring break started, the cameras rolled! 🎥🌙 Moshannon Valley was transformed into a real movie set as scenes were filmed for the upcoming movie The Days Are Evil!
Our building looked a little different as cast and crew brought the story to life right here in our classrooms. 🎭 From professional cameras to on-set action, it was an awesome behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of filmmaking!
We were especially excited to have Director Spencer Folmar, who is from Grassflat, leading the production—what an incredible opportunity to showcase local talent on the big screen! 🌟
We also welcomed Demetrios Troy, who plays Lazarus in The Chosen. It was such a unique experience to be part of a movie production happening right here at Mo Valley!

📣 Moshannon Valley High School Guidance Counselor, Jayne Kitko, recently spoke with students in Ms. Buell’s Career Class 🎓, sharing her journey and passion for helping others!
🔬 Originally, Ms. Kitko dreamed of becoming a genetic counselor. She gained hands-on experience working in a science lab 🧪 and a women’s shelter 🤝—giving her a unique perspective on both the scientific and emotional sides of counseling.
💡 These experiences led her to discover her true calling as a school counselor, where she can make a difference every single day!
🌟 Now, she uses those experiences to support, guide, and inspire our students as they plan for their futures 📚✨
