The Moshannon Valley School District is proud to congratulate Brooke Mihalko, Class of 2025, on being crowned the 2026 Clearfield County Fair Queen! 👏👑
During her time at Moshannon Valley, Brooke was an active member of our FFA Chapter and developed a passion for agriculture that continues to shape her future. She is currently attending Penn State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Agricultural and Extension Education, with the goal of becoming a high school agriculture educator and FFA Advisor.
Brooke's dedication, leadership, and commitment to promoting agriculture make her an outstanding representative for Clearfield County. We know she will serve with pride and continue inspiring others through her passion for the agricultural industry.

In accordance with state and federal regulations under IDEA, this notice is hereby given that in accordance with 34 C.F.R 300.624, the Moshannon Valley School District intends to destroy the records of students who exited from any Special Education program prior to and during the 2018-2019 school year.
The following types of document will be considered no longer educationally relevant at the conclusion of the school year during which such document was created: (a) raw data and test protocols used in evaluations and reevaluations; (b) raw data, test protocols, and work samples used for progress monitoring, when those data and samples are thoroughly presented in progress reports or in IEP present educational levels; and (c) all other raw data, tests and quizzes, and student work. The following types of document will be considered no longer educationally relevant at the expiration of six years from the date on which the child is no longer receiving special education services from the District: (a)permissions to evaluate or reevaluate; (b) evaluation and reevaluation reports; (c) invitations to IEP team meetings; (d) IEPs and IEP revisions; and (e) notices of recommended educational placement or prior written notices.
After six years, the records are no longer useful to the district, however they may be useful to the parent/guardian or former student when applying for Social Security benefits, rehabilitation services, college entrance, etc. The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student, may request of copy of the records in writing at the following address 5026 Green Acre Road, Houtzdale, PA 16651 or by calling the Special Education Department at (814) 378-7683 prior to July 17, 2026.

Mr. Kopp brings more than 16 years of experience in education and a proven record of leadership, dedication, and student success. Throughout his career, he has served as:

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Penn State University and his Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University. He also completed extensive doctoral studies in Educational Leadership.
Beyond his impressive professional background, Mr. Kopp has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to family, stepping away from his administrative role to care for his mother during her battle with advanced dementia. This speaks volumes about the compassion, character, and servant leadership he brings to our school community.
We are excited for the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm Mr. Kopp will bring to Moshannon Valley as he leads our elementary students, staff, and families.
