⚡ Fourth Grade Energy Explorers! 🔬
Our 4th graders in Mrs. Anderson's class have been investigating how energy moves from one object to another. Today, they became engineers! 🛠️✨ Using the Engineering Design Process, students planned, built, and tested creative models to show energy transfer in action 🎯➡️⚙️. So much teamwork, problem-solving, and fun learning along the way! 🌟💡📚

👩🏫👨🔧 This past week, our 10th graders took a trip to the CCCTC! 🚍✨
They toured programs like Welding 🔨, Automotive 🚗, Cosmetology 💇♀️, Healthcare 💉, Digital Media 🎥, and so many more!
Students got to meet instructors, try out hands-on activities 🙌, and see all the awesome opportunities waiting for them in 11th & 12th grade. 🎓
💡 These visits help students discover what they love ❤️, explore career paths 🛠️, and plan for success after graduation! 🌟
A big thank you to CCCTC for opening doors to future opportunities for our students! 🌟

Students in the Digital Media Arts and Drafting & Design programs at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) recently took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to Parker Dam State Park.
On Friday, October 3, the group practiced senior portrait photography in a natural outdoor setting, focusing on:
💡 Lighting techniques
🎯 Posing & composition
📷 Camera settings
This hands-on experience gave students the chance to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world conditions while building confidence in photographing clients in different environments. 🌲📸

Today’s stop: Japan! 🍣 Sushi ✔️ 🍜 Ramen ✔️
Students enjoyed authentic ramen and sushi, thanks to guest Chef Jason Williams, who even showed our staff how to roll sushi! 🍣👏
✨ Fun fact: In Japan, students take turns serving lunch and helping with school tasks—a tradition that teaches teamwork and community spirit. 💛

Brady Kay, an HVAC-R student at CCCTC, is hard at work checking an air conditioning unit for leaks. This type of hands-on training teaches students how to properly diagnose and repair cooling systems, making sure they run safely and efficiently.
Learning by doing not only builds technical skills but also gives students the confidence and real-world experience they need to succeed in the HVAC-R industry. 👨🔧💡

Landon Fraser (MoValley) and Tyler Houchins (Clearfield), two talented CCCTC Automotive Mechanics students, have launched an exciting new project — building a custom chopper motorcycle from the ground up!
This ambitious build is a true team effort, bringing together multiple CCCTC programs:
🔧 Automotive Mechanics – leading the build
🔥 Welding – handling fabrication
🎨 Collision Repair – creating custom paint and finishing touches
Recently, Landon and Tyler proudly showed off the custom frame that will become the foundation of their one-of-a-kind motorcycle. As the project progresses, it will showcase the incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and collaboration that Career & Technical Education makes possible.
Stay tuned as this project takes shape into a head-turning custom chopper that highlights the talent of CCCTC students! 💡👩🏭👨🔧

Catch these pieces at the K–12 Art Show on December 17 at the high school. 🖼️✨

They learned about 🛠️ mining tools, compared 🍪 "hard coal" & "soft coal", and even tried their hand at 🌱 reclamation by restoring the “land” after mining.
Such a fun (and tasty!) way to dig into history while learning about the challenges of coal mining! ⚒️🌍✨
