The two-hour workshop was held in the High School Collaboration Center and included students from Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Abernethy’s senior English classes. The session was led by Mary Tatum, Acting CEO of CenClear, a nonprofit organization serving Clearfield County. She was joined by Quentinn Wright, Human Resource Generalist, and Kathy Timchak, Human Resources Assistant, who helped guide students through the event. 👩💼📋
Students learned the Do’s and Don’ts of interviewing and practiced how to confidently answer interview questions. They were also introduced to the STAR interview strategy ⭐—which stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result—a helpful way to organize responses and showcase their experiences. The presenters modeled the technique and gave students a chance to practice their own interview skills! 🎤💡
Everyone agreed the workshop was informative, engaging, and extremely beneficial as our seniors prepare for life after graduation. Plans are already in the works to bring this opportunity back for the Class of 2027! 🎓
A big THANK YOU to the CenClear team for volunteering their time and helping prepare our students for future success! 👏🖤💛

Superintendent Mrs. O’Hare spent some time in Mrs. Houtz’s 1st grade class as students worked on identifying and naming 3D shapes and their attributes. From cubes and cones to spheres and cylinders, these young mathematicians explored how shapes look and what makes each one unique!
It’s always great to see our district leaders spending time in classrooms and celebrating the amazing learning happening at Moshannon Valley! 💛🖤

She stopped by Ms. Buell’s Career Exploration class to share her journey from student to teacher, principal, and now superintendent, encouraging students to work hard, chase their goals, and believe in themselves. 📚✨
She also spent time reading with the students in Mrs. Matia’s 2nd grade class, sharing a story and some smiles along the way! 🐮📖
It’s always a great day when our students get to learn, laugh, and be inspired by leaders right here in our MV family!

Congratulations to Annabeth "AB" Anderson for signing her letter of intent to continue her softball career at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania at Lock Haven.
