🚛 Learning About Careers on the Road!
Ms. Buell’s class welcomed MV graduate Stewart Majewsky, who stopped by to share his experience working in his family business with his dad, Blacque JacqueTrucking!
Students learned about the day-to-day operations of the trucking industry, how changing fuel prices impact the business, and what it takes to become a professional driver. They even got a firsthand look at one of Blacque Jacque Trucking’s tanker trucks! 🚛
Stewart shared that the industry needs trained, dependable drivers with their CDL who are ready to work. While the job can be demanding and involve long hours, it can also be a very rewarding profession.
Most importantly, students were able to see that there are many different paths to a successful career after graduation. Experiences like this help our students connect what they are learning today with real opportunities in the workforce and better understand the training, responsibility, and work ethic needed to succeed.
A big thank you to Stewart and Blacque Jacque Trucking for giving our students a real-world look at the trucking industry—and it’s always great to welcome an MV graduate back to share where life after MV has taken them! 🖤💛

Happy Constitution Day!
Mrs. Frisco’s students celebrated Constitution Day during Social Studies with a Constitution Signer Search! Each student became a signer of the U.S. Constitution by wearing a name badge filled with facts about their historical figure. 🔎📜
Students then mingled with their classmates, asked questions, shared their facts, and worked together to find the information they needed to complete their signer search. It was a fun, interactive way to bring history to life while practicing communication and teamwork! ❤️🤍💙

Students in Ms. Buell’s class had a unique opportunity to hear from guest speaker Jim Sherkel, a former videographer for WTAJ, who shared his personal reflections and experiences surrounding the events of September 11, 2001.
Mr. Sherkel shared what it was like to experience that historic day through the lens of the news media, including sounds and recordings from 9/11 that helped students better understand the events as they unfolded. Students listened, asked thoughtful questions, and completed personal reflections about what they learned.
Mr. Sherkel also brought his personal collection of newspapers and magazine headlines from 9/11 for students to explore, giving them a firsthand look at how the events were reported and documented at the time.
Superintendent Mrs. O’Hare also had the opportunity to join the students for this meaningful presentation.
