Our 6th grade students had an incredible time at Penn State Women’s Basketball Field Trip Day at Rec Hall last Thursday! 🏀🦁
The theme of the day — “If they see it, they can be it!” — encouraged students to dream big and showed how sports and education go hand-in-hand. ✨📚
Students cheered loud and proud as the Lady Lions took home the win against Coppin State, and many even scored free T-shirts during the game! 👕🎉
Such an inspiring and unforgettable day for our future leaders! 💙🤍

Blossom Brew Cafe' made its debut in the Elementary School on Friday, November 14th! Thank you to everyone who showed their support. It was a great day!

Students in Ms. Henninger’s ELA class just wrapped up their reading of Hoot by Carl Hiaasen, and they’re putting their creativity to the test! 🎬📚
To show their understanding of a central theme and how it develops throughout the novel, students are designing their very own movie posters inspired by the story. From bold visuals to thoughtful interpretations, their work is truly owl-standing! 🦉✨
Can’t wait to see the finished posters! 🎨👏

This year the High School Art Club participated in PennDOT’s “Paint the Plow” program where schools across the state paint a PennDOT plow blade with an original design that fits the year’s theme to promote safe driving in the winter. This year’s theme was “Don’t race, allow some space.” Art Club students Deakon Evans and Makayla Sones put in many hours of work to complete our plow. The plow blade will be installed on a plow that has a route within the Moshannon Valley school district so anyone could have the opportunity to see it in use.

There are a few participating locations locally. You can view a map of meat processors here: https://sharedeer.org/meat%20processors/

🐄🐖🐔 Ms. Lang’s 8th Grade Discovering Agriculture class has been busy learning all about livestock!
Students researched their assigned breeds of cattle, pigs, and chickens, answering questions about each. Then they got creative—building and painting cardboard cutouts of their animals to match real-life breed colors! 🎨
To share their new knowledge, the class took part in “Animal Speed Dating”—rotating around the room to learn about each other’s animals, their purposes, and unique identifying features. 💬
Next up: they’ll round out their Animal Science Unit by studying eggs 🥚 and chicken & beef cuts 🥩!
