The YMCA, which supports Moshannon Valley programs like our Backpack Program, is in need of canned food donations. With the holidays approaching and supplies running low, please consider supporting our YMCA. There will be donation containers at the HS & ES Offices Nov 4- 11.

Sixth Grade Student Council Members shared information with the School Board about their Empowering the Bystander Training. They learned when it comes to bullying prevention, students can take an active role to intervene – especially bystanders. The student council plans to train students in 4th, 5th and 6th grades to stand up and support one another to reduce bullying.

6th grade highlight!
6th grade student reps attended the Empowering the Bystander seminar at the Central PA Inst. of Sci. and Tech. for training on bullying prevention. They explored a wide range of choices to use as bystanders intervening in bullying on behalf of their peers.

Miss Lang's floral design students made beautiful fresh flower arrangements as an exercise today in class!


Miss. Tekely's 4th grade students practiced being engineers by designing a boat to save Freddie the Worm . . . AGAIN! This lesson is a continuation from 3rd grade and allowed students to imagine and plan a design using designated materials. These engineers will test and improve their designs as part of the Engineering Design Process (EDP).



Mrs. Hook's mathematicians were acting as forensic entomologists and collecting data to create line plots. Using this data, they will be able to make inferences and draw conclusions about the crime scenes!
