Students in Mrs. Saggesse's Health Occupations program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) recently worked on pressure injury stages. As part of the assignment, students were tasked with recreating the first three stages of these injuries. This hands-on project is designed to help students gain practical knowledge in assessing, documenting, and managing pressure ulcers, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes and preventing complications. In the Grades 4-5 age group, “The Mustard Kids” took 2nd place🥈, and “The Five Tiers Tower” won “Best in Show” and 1st place🥇 !! In the Grades 6-8 division, “The Ultra Bridge Builders” also won “Best in Show” and first place🥇!
Our two first place teams advance to the state competition in Harrisburg in May!

Students in the Welding and Metal Fabrication program at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) recently earned their Welder Performance Qualifications, meeting the standards of the AWS D1.1/D1.1M:2020 Structural Welding Code for steel. Their certifications include Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) with limited thickness in the flat, horizontal, and vertical position. CCCTC is proud to highlight all of our students' accomplishments and celebrate their hard work and dedication to their craft. Additionally, one student achieved certification in Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
