Students rotated through engaging stations where they matched synonym word pairs—helping to expand their word knowledge and deepen reading comprehension. 📖🔍

Hands-on learning like this not only makes learning fun, but also builds the foundation for stronger, more confident readers! 💛🖤

💛🖤 Advocating for Mo Valley in Harrisburg! 🖤💛

Mrs. O’Hare is spending the day in Harrisburg for Advocacy Day, representing Moshannon Valley and the needs of our students, staff, and community.

While there, she had the opportunity to connect with Dallas Kephart to share the great things happening at Mo Valley and advocate for continued support for our schools.

We are proud to have strong leadership working to make a difference for our district both locally and at the state level! 👏✨

🖤💛 Ms. Buell’s class had the opportunity to hear from MV alumnus Stewart Majewsky, who shared his unique career journey and life experiences. 🚛✨

Stewart spoke about his path from working in the IT field 💻 to ultimately following his true passion—joining and growing his family’s business, Blacque Jacque Trucking. Alongside his father, he now helps operate their truck driving business, hauling heating oil and keeping communities running. 🛢️❄️

He also shared what it’s like balancing life as both a son and a father in a family-run business, offering valuable insight into hard work, dedication, and finding what truly fulfills you. 💪

Experiences like this help bring learning to life and show our students the many different paths to success! 🌟

Students in Ms. Buell’s History classes have been bringing the Cold War to life through hands-on, project-based learning! 🧠🌍

From creating detailed fallout shelters 🏠 to designing Vietnam War informational books 📖 and mapping out key global locations 🗺️, students are diving deep into history in meaningful ways.

Their journey began with exploring media usage, analyzing primary & secondary sources, and reflecting through journal writing ✍️. They even participated in a powerful “Cross the Line” debate simulation on the atomic bomb—tackling the complex decisions and perspectives of the era. 💬⚖️

This kind of engagement helps students not just learn history—but truly understand it.💛🖤

The Varsity Softball game today is postponed until May 11.
