Last week, our elementary students planted a 'Pinwheels for Prevention' garden! Pinwheels, specifically blue pinwheels, are the national symbol for child abuse prevention.
"They're not just pinwheels. They are a promise. This pinwheel represents a commitment to making our community a safe and nurturing place for all kids and families."
Pictured is Mrs. Houtz's first grade class! Unfortunately, we've been battling some windy, rainy weather these past two weeks which has made an outdoor pinwheel garden a little difficult to maintain!

15 High School Students had the opportunity to attend Earth Day at Parker Dam this past week. The students collected and studied soil and water samples during this field trip. The soil samples were then looked at by their different layers to identify the composition. They also checked the quality of the water in the stream that flows into the lake. 🌍🌳

We had our First Friday event today at the high school during lunches! We hope that the First Friday events will help foster a supportive community for our students. Along with having student artwork on display, the students and staff enjoyed a baked potato bar with a ton of different toppings! We have plans to add a performance piece in the future.
